Demo vs Early Access: Does Your Progress Carry Over?

Updated · Launch & Platforms

Quick answer

No — demo progress does not carry over. XLGAMES' demo notes say progress and save data from the demo will not carry over to the Early Access version, so everyone starts fresh on November 3. The free Steam Next Fest demo ran October 19–26, 2026 and has ended; there's no playable version until Early Access.

FAQ

Does the ArcheAge Chronicles demo progress carry over?

No. The official demo notes say progress and save data won't carry over to Early Access.

Can I still play the demo?

No. It ran during Steam Next Fest, from October 19 to October 26 at 10 a.m. PDT (early October 27 in Asia), and XLGAMES has announced it has ended.

Was the demo an open beta?

It was a free public demo with no sign-up, open worldwide — many sites called it an open beta. Before it there was a short invite-only network test on September 12, North America only, for about six hours.

Where is the Throne of Hinnon key?

It was a hidden key for the demo's high-level bonus dungeon; XLGAMES deliberately didn't say where. The demo is over, so this only matters if Throne of Hinnon returns in Early Access — we'll update once it's confirmed.
